Get and Give in Action – KNHB donates goalie gear to visiting nations in Breda

At the recent EHF Education seminars in Breda Push HC, the KNHB kindly donated goalie kit to various visiting nations. Paul Visscher drove with his trailer to the hockey club where the kit was donated to youth coaches from: Russia Lithuania Finland Portugal Hungary Slovenia As goalie kit is very expensive for developing nations and can be a big hurdle for growth the EHF would sincerely like to thank KNHB for this kind donation. Upcoming SNG Seminars: Vilnius, Vienna and Dublin

Following the success of our previous Seminars, the EHF Education Committee’s Umpiring Working Group is organising three new seminars in: Vilnius(LTU), in Vienna(AUT), and in Dublin (IRL). The seminars, organized within the EHF program Support National Growth (SNG), have the aim to provide  training to the participants as Umpires and Umpires Coaches/Mentors in partnership with National Associations in order to develop the umpires in their country. Australia take gold, Canada silver and Spain bronze at Hockey5s

Under the watchful eyes of the IOC President Thomas Bach, the first Hockey5s Youth Olympic tournament ended today with Australia men claiming the top of the podium in another thrilling final that could only be decided in a shoot-out. Netherlands has to settle for silver in shootout!

On the final day of the women’s competition in Nanjing, the Chinese hosts claimed the gold medal in dramatic fashion. Three goals in the first period plus one more in the 16th minute gave China a four goal lead by the middle of the match. The Dutch women were far from defeated however, and revolted in impressive manner against their seemingly impending demise, sinking five goals in eight minutes.
