Top Coaches Seminar at the Fintro Hockey World League in Antwerp

Ten members of the EHF TCP participated in  a seminar at the Fintro Hockey World League in Antwerp between 23-27 June. Guest presenters included: Gavin Featherstone double Olympic coach – Counter attack hockey Eric Verboom Dutch U21 coach – Motoric learning Hans Streeder Dutch U21 assistant coach – Power Hockey Dr Annemieke. EHF Umpires and Mentors on duty at the Rohrmax Final Four in Vienna

29.06.2015, Brussels; Last weekend in Vienna marked the Final Four end of season Championships for the Austrian teams. In the women’s final SV Arminen beat Post SV and in the men’s final HC Wien took the title for the first time in 22 years! The EHF was delighted to support the Championships with umpires from our UDP  – Ymkje van Slooten (group 7) and Angelika Köppen (group 8) and indeed Group 9 mentor Andy Mair who along with top European umpire Paco Vazquez from Spain umpired the men’s final. Italy girls and Turkey boys Crowned EuroHockey5 Champions

28.06.2015, Brussels; The second day of the first ever EuroHockey5 tournament started again in Malta in even hotter temperatures today! All games in the morning were very important with the last pool games being played to decide who will play in the finals and the bronze medal games. It was decided that Malta would play Croatia in the girls’ bronze medal match and Malta would play Slovenia in the boys’. Day I – EuroHockey5 Mediterranean Cup, Under 16 Boys and Girls

27.06.2015, Brussels; The first ever EuroHockey hockey 5s tournament started today in Malta at the national hockey centre with four U16 boys and girls teams competing. The boys teams are from Malta, Croatia, Slovenia and Turkey, and the girls teams from Malta, Croatia, Turkey and Italy. The tournament is designed to test the Hockey 5s format in Europe ahead of the European Qualification tournaments next year for the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 in Argentina.
