Last weekend we have celebrated the 20th anniversary of our Communications Manager, Siobhan Madeley’s service to the EHF. The Executive Board and staff presented her with an engraved necklace  to mark this important moment. Siobhan started with the EHF in 1995 when the office was based in Dublin and she became the spin in the EHF web for many years. Friday Focus – The EHF and SportWays – 20 years

As we come to the end of 2016, it is really great to celebrate, as part of our Friday Focus series, the European Hockey Federation’s  20 years of co-operation with SportsWays. Back in 1995, the first EHF/SportWays Hockey Camp of Excellence was organised in Dublin, Ireland. After this first success, the partnership expanded to include the city of Cambridge as a host to these camps. Following this, the partnership settled in Athlètic Terrassa Hockey Club in Barcelona became the permanent home of the Excellence camps. Euro Hockey League returns to the Wagener Stadium!

The venue will play host to 12 top quality matches over four days of action – running from 25-28 March, 2016 – with 16 clubs from eight different countries battling it out for a place in the FINAL4. It will be the fifth time the EHL has come to the Dutch venue with Amsterdam previously hosting the FINAL4 in 2010 and 2012, the KO16 in the 2012/13 season and Round 1 in 2008.
