England and Germany complete the European line-up for the Quarter Finals

England, Germany and Australia completed the line-up for the Quarter-Finals following the final Pool B and C matches at the women’s Hockey Junior World Cup 2016 currently being played in Santiago, Chile. The joined Netherlands, Argentina, USA, Spain and Belgium in the Quarter-Finals thanks to their respective results today. Argentina made sure of top spot in their Pool as they defeated France following Germany’s win against Japan earlier in the day. 27 November 2016: USA, Spain and Belgium joined Netherlands and Argentina in the Quarter-Finals of the women’s Hockey Junior World Cup 2016 in Santiago, Chile following the final Pool A and D matches today. A 3-2 victory for USA against Korea was enough for them to secure second spot in Pool A behind Netherlands, while Spain and Belgium qualified from Pool D in what proved to be a day filled with drama. 24 November 2016: The planet’s best junior women’s athletes rocked Santiago on the first day of competition at the Hockey Junior World Cup 2016, with 41 goals scored during six action-packed matches at the Estadio Manaquehue. A large opening day crowd came out in force to cheer on the world’s top junior women’s teams beneath the Chilean sun and were not disappointed. Our Twinning initiative Sharing Knowledge continues! Nine European countries have been paired with Dutch clubs, supported by KNHB. November saw a few pairings get to work, with Poland, Czech Republic and Bulgaria sending groups to their partner clubs in The Netherlands. Poland and Kampong Poland visited their partner Kampong SV with their U16 boys and girls teams at the end of October (30 October – 2 November).
