The assistant coach of the Dutch women’s hockey team, Alex Cox, from July 1, 2011 will be employed full-time by the Royal Dutch Hockey Association (KNHB) until the 2012 Olympics in London. At present, Cox, besides his role in the KNHB, is head coach of the MHC Laren Scheeren (Laren) Women 1.
In recent months frequent consultation between Cox, KNHB Laren and the KNHB. According to these parties the preparatory program of the Dutch team for the 2012 Olympics so intensive that Cox can no longer combine the two functions.
Laren had intended to renew Cox’s contract after it expires at the end of this season. The Board at MHC Laren regrets but understands his choice and wishes him and the Dutch national team much success in London.
