The “Goalie Camp 2013”, which took place at Cus Pisa’s field ( in Pisa, Tuscany) from 28th March to 30th March, has just come to its conclusion.
Seventeen athletes, ten boys and 7 girls, coming from eight different Italian cities have gathered, challenging the rain, under the careful supervision of Fabrizio Demarchi ( Cus Pisa head coach, and Italy ladies team assistant coach) and Martina Chirico (Italy ladies goalkeeper).
Anna Montresor, one the goalies that attended the camp, said: “It’s been a wonderful experience, for real! Excellent staff, so many things to learn and so much fun! The logistics have been great, both during training and for everything not directly connected to hockey! Everybody involved in the realization of the camp have managed to make it work brilliantly: coaches, people that volunteered to cook and every one who helped out! I think it has been absolutely satisfactory seeing so many goalkeepers participate to this camp, which has certainly meant something to everyone. It absolutely is an experience that I hope to repeat next year!”
This has been the first ever Goalie Camp, but there is the will to make it an annual event for goalkeepers.
We are very satisfied of everyone who participated, and we wait for you next year!
