Austrian Hockey celebrates 100 years during the EuroHockey Indoor Championship in Vienna

Austrian Hockey Federation celebrated its 100 years with a reception last night, following the semi-finals of the EuroHockey Indoor Championships.
The evening was a great opportunity for the hockey family to get together and highlight the achievements, hard work and give much deserved recognition to the Federation, which has been working for Hockey since its foundation in 1913.
A reception hosted by Anatol Richter, the Head of the Sports Department of the City of Vienna, was held for all present dignitaries, as well as all the umpires, officials and representatives from all the participating teams. The evening was punctuated by speeches given by Austrian Hockey President Walter Kapounek, FIH President Leandro Negre and EHF President Marijke Fleuren. The special evening was particularly festive given Austria’s victory in the semi-final against Russia which gave them a coveted place in the Final against reigning Indoor Champions Germany.

The Final will take place today at 14:30 and it will be streamed LIVE
