Day 1 – EuroHockey Indoor Club Challenge in Budapest

So finally the tournament has started! After more than 6 months of organization today at 11:00 the EuroHockey Indoor Club  Challenge, (Women) tournament has started in Budapest with the participation of seven European teams: Hockey Club Zrinjevac (CRO)/Ards Ladies Hockey Club (IRL)/Partille SC (SWE)/Lisbon Casuals Hockey Club (POR)/Howardian LHC (WAL)/Amator Gyeplabda Sportegyesulet (HUN)/HK BASK (SRB).
All seven teams introduced themselves on the first day with two games. The matches were very exciting and a few were very tight. Partille SC, Hockey Club Zrinjevac, and Ards Ladies closed the day with 2 wins, Howardian has one  and one defeat and Lisbon Casuals, Amatőr Gyeplabda Sportegyesület and HK BASK have no wins yet. Fortunately there were no serious injuries on the first day.
At the moment Ivona Makar from Hockey Club Zrinjevac is the best shooter with 13 goals.
The atmosphere of the tournament is friendly and greatly enthusiastic, a huge thank you to all the amazing and enthusiastic fans who came out to support the teams.
