Day 2 in Cambrai saw a lot of hotly contested matches, with some very evenly matched encounters. No massive goal differences here, so every goal counts!
The end of the pool matches saw SK Slavia Praha end at the top of the A pool with 12 points, closely followed by Amsterdam H&BC with 11 points. They were through to the semi-finals, while HC Vitorya Smolevichi and host Cambrai HC were left in the C pool to fight against relegation. In pool B, Berliner HC led with a slightly higher margin, taking the pool with 12 points, followed by Club de Campo with 9 oints. MSC Sumchanka, with 7 points, and HC Weloc Wels, with 2 points, completed the C pool.
The first semi of the day matched Amsterdam H&BC and Berliner HC, with the German club advancing to the final, winning the close match by one goal 2-3 (1-1). The second semi-final between SK Slavia Praha and Club de Campo was a closely matched game, in which neither team conceded a goal in either half. A penalty shoot-out decided the game 0-0 (0-0) SO 1-2, and victory went to the Spanish Club de Campo who will meet Berliner HC in the Final tomorrow at 14:30.
