Fantastic day of Hockey today in Cambrai, as the last day of the EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions Cup began early this morning with the last two games of the relegation pool.
The first game between HC Victorya Smolevichi and MSC Sumchanka ended in disappointment for the Belorusian girls, as they lost 0 -10 (0-7). The second game between host Cambrai HC and HC Weloc Wels of Austria 3-2 (1-2) was a tight match, but the host prevailed, leaving HC Weloc Wels at the bottom of the table and joining HC Victorya Smolevichi in being relegated to the 2015 EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy.
The bronze medal game between Amsterdam H&BC and SK Slavia Praha was a very exciting one, with the Amsterdam leading by 2 at the end of the first half, SK Slavia Praha managed to score twice in the 39th and 40th minute, forcing a shootout. The Czech girls took the bronze after winning the shootout 1-2. Full time result 2-2 (2-0) SO1-2
The Final saw Berliner HC take on the silver medalists from last year, Club de Campo. The first half ended with Berliner with a 3 goal lead, but Club de Campo kept on trying and managed 2 goals in the second half, but it was not enough. For the second year running, Club de Campo win the silver and the German girls are crowned the 2014 EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions!
