EHL presents EHL Heroes

Euro Hockey League is very proud to reveal the inaugural EHL Heroes: Robert van der Horst (MHC Oranje Zwart), Mink van der Weerden (MHC Oranje Zwart), Jeroen Hertzberger (HC Rotterdam) and Loïck Luypaert (KHC Dragons). True hockey warriors, this quartet embody the true spirit of the competition and will be the official ambassadors of the EHL. These carefully selected Heroes will represent the EHL in its promotional activities prior to and during the KO16/FINAL4 held from April 16th – 21st April in Eindhoven.
EHL Heroes: The Best of the Best
The heroes play for the top club teams in The Netherlands and Belgium as well as starring for their national hockey teams. All of them are representing the EHL at its very best: eager, talented hockey players with a never-ending desire for glory. Our EHL Heroes and their impressive backgrounds:

·       Robert van der Horst (MHC OZ): defender, captain of the Dutch national team with more than 200 caps, silver medalist Olympic Games, London.
·       Mink van der Weerden (MHC OZ): defender, penalty corner specialist, player with the Dutch national team, top scorer and silver medalist Olympic Games, London.
·       Jeroen Hertzberger (HC Rotterdam): striker, top scorer first edition of EHL, over 125 caps for the Dutch national team with his debut Olympic Games Beijing.
·       Loïck Luypaert (KHC Dragons): defender, twice  Belgian club champion, top scorer of EHL 2013, silver medalist EHL 2013, Belgian international.
