First TD seminar of 2014 held in Brussels

Posted On 31st March 2014

The EHF Education Committee – Working Group Officials organized a Technical Officials Seminar on 28th – 30th March 2014 in the EHF Office in Brussels.
The seminar targeted those officials who already have some experience as Tournament Director at EHF tournaments and have the potential to become Tournament Directors of FIH tournaments in the future. A full 2 day programme with intense training led by conductors Edna Rutten, Bjorn Isberg, Sylvie Petitjean, Louise Knipe, Philip Schellekens, and Dr.Peter Wefers Bettink made for a very interactive and interesting seminar.
The EHF would like to thank Edna Rutten, Bjorn Isberg and Sylvie Petitjean for organizing and leading the seminar as members of the Education Committee – Officials working group and as experienced FIH officials. FIH Grade 1 Umpire Manager Phillip Schellekens and FIH Umpire Manager Louise Knipe also did a terrific job of presenting the UM perspective. The EHF would also like to thank Dr. Peter Wefers Bettink who gave a presentation on medical issues such as Anti-Doping procedures, the role of the medical officer at tournaments and nutrition, safety and health.
