This past weekend Club Egara in Catalunya held the second edition of the ‘European Mami’s’ Festival, a weekend of hockey dedicated to women over 35 who love hockey!
The festival started on Friday May 23rd, and finished on Sunday May 25th. EHF President, Marijke Fleuren and EHF Vice President Jorge Alcover visited Club Egara on Saturday and saw over 350 women from 27 teams come together for a weekend of hockey and fun. Clubs from all over the world participated: Spain, Argentina, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.
The festival featured shows, a parade, a dinner, a ‘mega party’ and of course, a lot of hockey!
EHF President, Marijke Fleuren, was incredibly impressed with the Club’s organization and with the jovial atmosphere. “I was very proud of them, it was a fantastic event.”
