EuroHockey Club Trophy, Men, Cagliari
Day 2 of the Eurohockey Club Champions Trophy saw another beautiful sunny day in Cagliari with temperatures tipping 29 degrees. The first match of the day saw HC Bra of Italy play ATA Sport of Azerbaijan, this was a very close contest for the first 35 minutes with Bra taking the lead through a Vadmaska corner in the 9th minute, ATA Sport equalised in the 16th minute through Khalid in the 16th minute after a well worked move.
The second half saw ATA Sport start the second half with renewed intent and scored early to take a 1-2 lead and continued to press and scored 4 goals in 5 minutes with Kahlid completing his hat trick. ATA sport continued to press and the game finished with a convincing 1-8 win for ATA Sport.
The second game saw a depleted NAVAX AHTC Wein of Austria take on Monkstown of Ireland who took an early 0-3 lead with 10 minutes of blistering hockey the blew the Austrians away. The game then settled down and Monkstown went in at half time with a 0-3 lead.
At the start of the second half AHTC’s Monghy scored from a well worked goal but Monkstown hit straight back two quick goals to make it 1-5, with the game won Monkstown played out the remaining 25minutes for a satisfactory victory setting up the mouth-watering clash with ATA Sport tomorrow.
Game 3 saw OKS of Ukraine play Grange of Scotland, OKS struck early with a 3rd minute corner from Luppa and never looked back. They dominated play and ran out comfortable victors 7-1.
The final game of the day saw local side Amsicora play Whitchurch of Wales. The first half was very close and the teams were separated by a single goal scored by their corner expert Murgia. The second half saw Amsicora come out the more composed side and scored two quick goals to make it 3- 0. With the game clearly won Amsicora continued to push and ran out 5 – 1 victors setting up an interesting contest against OKS tomorrow

EuroHockey Club Challenge I, Men, Rakovnik
Day 2 and Banbridge HC are sitting pretty with 10 points at the top of Pool A, Mladost also won today v Grammarians leaving a juicy final Pool A game tomorrow at 13:00 to see who will play 1st or 2nd in the other Pool, to determine promotion to the Trophy in 2015.
Only one game in Pool B and that saw Wettingen take 5 points v the hosts. The final game of Pool B is tomorrow and with RWW already sure of the top spot, the game Akkord HC – HC 1972 Rakovnik will determine who takes 2nd place and a chance at promotion! Rakovnik will be glad of their tight scoreline today, which earned them a perhaps vital point and means even a draw tomorrow will be enough.

Day two at EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge II, Men, Slagelse
The beautiful weather in Soerbymagle attracted many to take a seat in the sun and enjoy some European hockey. The first game of the day between SK Senkvice and Eagles HC was a rather one-sided affair, with the Slovaks winning 7 – 0 at the end. Together with Partille SC’s 3- 1 win, this makes the last day in pool A a real thriller, with all four teams still having a change to qualify for the play-ups. In pool B, the hosts from Soerbymagle had to swallow another setback, loosing 1 – 4 to a well organized team from Luzern and can now prepare to play for a Danish survival in Challenge II on Monday morning, while Luzern and Gaziantep play out the number one spot in pool B tomorrow.

EuroHockey Club Challenge III, Men, Bratislava
2nd match day on EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge III, Bratislava was a really exciting hockey day.
Not just because of the hot weather, but all the games were so exciting especially the last one. The home team KPH Raca was playing against Slagelse hockey team in a such a high tempo. Both teams were playing so responsible and waiting for chances. At the end the result of 1:1 was fair to both teams. Rest of game were also pretty good. NSA was quite close to make a draw against Lousada but at the end they lost any chance and the final score was 5:3 for Portuguese team. Fourth match of the day was Epitek against Jedinstvo and it wass pretty clear won for Jedinstvo 7:2.

EuroHockey Club Challenge IV, Men, Kordin
The second day also played under the heat. First game Inta-Baltic Champignons (LTU) vs Seinajoki United (FIN) – their level of proficiency quite equal. The game ended with a victory to Lithuanians 2 – 0. Second game – Qormi HC vs Olcote HC, this was Qormi’s first game of the tournament, in front of their own crowd. From the beginning they had a good possession of the ball and domination with 3 – 0 at half time. The second half Olcote tried to recover, but the game ended by 5 – 1 in favour of the locals.
