Dutch dominate to power into the semi-final of the Fintro EuroHockey Junior Championships

23/07/2014 – The Netherlands have been the best women team at the Fintro Junior EuroHockey Championships and they proved that again today against the Czech Republic. Little surprisingly the Dutch team dominated the entire match and won with a high goal score. Lieke VAN WIJK was once again very efficient on PC and scored a hattrick. The Netherlands scored two more penalty corner goals from captain Lauren STAM and Maria VERSCHOOR. Maria Verschoor scored a second time with a field goal. Laura NUNNINK and Maartje KREKELAAR were the other Dutch goalscorer. Although the the Czechs were no match to The Netherlands coach Chris Faust was proud of his girls as they for a tough fight and losing with a smile. What a great moment at the Tournament when the 2 teams got together at the end with smiles to celebrate hockey!
