Fairly even first half with both teams having chances. Netherlands from their penalty corners and Spain from open play.
A nice solo run and goal from Lisanne de LANGE in the 19th minute was the only goal that divided the teams in the first half.

24/07/2014 Netherlands were awarded a PC in the 25th minute but the shot was mishit and resulted in a free out. Macey DE RUITER dribbled down the left side of the pitch but ended up running out of pitch!
With 4 1/2 minutes on the clock Macey DE RUITER had another chance but Spain countered and Lara PAMPIN delivered a perfect cross which Cristina DE PAZ connected with but the ball went high and wide, the best chance of the game for Spain.
Just before the half Netherlands earned a PC but it was mistrapped so the score reminded 1-0 to Netherlands at 1/2 time
In the second half a tired looking Spain struggled to get their passing right, some super individual skills but the final pass let them down and the pressure started to build from the Dutch. On the stroke of the 60th minute Theresa Van Ramshorst scored to put the game firmly in the grasp of a now animated Dutch forward line. A sublime drag flick just before the full time hooter by Lieke van Wijk meant the final score was 3-0.
Netherlands now face Germany in what promises to be a great final!
