The EHF Education Committee – Umpires is pleased to announce that the first webinar for U4E group 2014 will take place on Wednesday at 9pm CET.
FIH Umpire Laurine Delforge will talk about her experience at the World Cup and how to deal with pressure at a top tournament. Covering areas such as pressure from the players, the crowd and using video referals, Laurine hopes to share her experiences with the whole group.
Laurine started umpiring when she was about 17. Her first tournament was in 2009: U18s in Belgium. Her first senior international game was in January 2012, at a 3 Nations in South Africa. “Surprinsingly enough for me, I got my FIH badge there, and since then, have climbed the ladder rather quickly”.
She has recently umpired in World League Round 3 in London (2013), EuroHockey Nations Championship in Belgium (2013), and of course the FIH World Cup in the Hague (2014), after which she has been promoted to World Development Panel List.
EHF would like to thank Laurine for sharing her knowledge and experience and volunteering her time.
