EHF Education Committee Coaching Working group is delighted to announce that the EHF Balkan Level 1 seminar to be held in Komotini in Northern Greece has reached its target participants!
18 delegates from 6 nations will meet from 17-19 October and under conductors Siegfried Aikman and Norman Hughes will strive to become accredited EHF Level 1 coaches.
After 2 days of theory and practical guidance each coach will have to deliver a coaching session which will be assessed against set criteria.
3 observers from Albania are also attending the seminar and EHF hopes that this will lead to hockey seeds growing in this nation.
EHF chose Komotini in Northern Greece with the help of representatives from the Greek Hockey Federation. Strategically it is important also that hockey starts in this region as just a short distance away is a thriving hockey cluster in Southern Bulgaria (Rhodopi mountains). It is our hope that this seminar will spark off cross border co -operation and exchanges.
EHF wishes to thank the local Greek team for organising and hosting this important coach development event.
