The Swedish Hockey Association, Svenska Landhockeyförbundet, are delighted to announce that an invitation from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) to participate in the Indoor World Cup 2015 in Leipzig, Germany, has been accepted. This will be the first time a Swedish national team participates in a Hockey World Cup and follows a long campaign by the Swedish men’s national team. Jan-Olof Rydin, vice-president of the Swedish Hockey Association, on the historic news: “I’d like to thank and congratulate the players and coaches who have made this unique opportunity possible through years of hard work and dedication for their sport. The team have already started their preparations and they will shortly be joined by hockey enthusiasts from around the country who will support and cheer their team along every step of the way”.
