EHF President Marijke Fleuren, AzPetrol Representative Jeyran Nasibova and EHF Director General Angus Kirkland
The EHF President Marijke Fleuren gave a short report to the General Assembly, and in her report she spoke about the new Calendar of events, Hockey4All, and the Euro Hockey League. She took the opportunity to remind the delegates about the EHF Get & Give programme, and asked them to continue to spread the word of this excellent intiative within their own National Associations.
Bjorn Isberg gave a short presentation on behalf of the EHF Appointments committee, to highlight the concern that several EHF World Panel Umpires would retire after the Olympic Games in Rio, and the gap that would occur before EHF Grade 1 Umpires would be promoted up through Promising Umpires List status to World Panel. He asked the delegates to support their own umpires to develop further within their National Associations.
Angus Kirkland, Director General reminded the Member Associations that all international matches must be sanctioned by the EHF – including clubs.
Delegates received an information pack from Musco Lighting, EHF Partner, with regard to a new grant system which Member Associations can apply for to receive a discount on Musco Lighting systems.
