The European Hockey Federation hosted its third U4E Webinar on Wednesday November 26th. FIH World Panel Umpire, Elena Eskina (RUS) gave an inspiring talk about what she feels are the main steps to umpiring at a very high level.
Elena’s main focus was on game management, highlighting the different approaches to player, coach and spectator management. She stressed the need for concentration and consistency, and underlined the key role of preparation before a match, and a tournament as a whole.
The European Hockey Federation and the Education Committee would like to thank Elena for delivering such a fantastic seminar.
Already looking to the future, U4E has booked three conductors for seminars in 2015, Grade 1 Umpires Jakub Mejzlik (CZE), and Dan Barstow (ENG) and FIH World Panel umpire, Hamish Jamson (ENG)
