EuroHockey Club of the Year Awards 2014 – Now open for nominations!

Posted On 12th February 2015

The European Hockey Federation is now receiving nominations for its Club of the Year Awards for 2014. This award is not about the clubs that win championship titles, but about those clubs that grow and promote hockey in your community, while developing players, volunteers, coaches, umpires and facilities.

As with the awards for 2013, we have split the award into three categories, to make sure all clubs (big and small) are considered. EHF hopes that this 3 tier approach will allow all our small, medium and large sized hockey nations to nominate their key clubs.

EHF is therefore delighted to invite you to make your nominations for EuroHockey Club of the Year 2014
Each National Association can nominate a maximum of 2 clubs in each category.

1. Tier 1 – Large Club Award – for clubs with more than 300 members
2. Tier 2 – Medium Club Award – for clubs with more than 100 members but less than 300 members
3. Tier 3 – Small Club Award – for clubs with less than 100 members

We hope that you are motivated to reward your key club/s by nominating them for the EuroHockey Club of the Year Award. This award is an important opportunity for both EHF and your National Federation to demonstrate our appreciation of the work that our clubs do. Clubs are at the core of most of hockey in Europe not only for elite players but all those families who enjoy hockey on a regular basis. We know that this award can be a significant help and support your clubs when applying for support, promoting the club and approaching potential sponsors/partners.

All National Associations have already received instructions from the EHF office on how to apply. The deadline for nominations is February 28th, 2015.
