Day 2 – EuroHockey Indoor Challenge I, Rotterdam

The morning session started with a 7-4 victory of HC Roma over Cardiff & Met, which means that HC Roma takes over the second spot in pool A and it brings them into the winners-pool.

The second match of the day featured the Hungarian side, Soroksari HC, and the Portuguese side AD Lousada. AD Lousada stayed on top of pool A, winning the match 6-3.

The third game featured home side HC Rotterdam, who took on HC Lipovci. The Slovenian lost their two matches but weren’t thinking of stepping of the floor empty-handed. HC Lipovci took an early lead and remained on top at half time. Second half HC Rotterdam changed gears and won the game through a winner of Bas Campbell (4-3).

The final game between Railway Union HC and SK Senkvice was a game with a lot of goals. After a 1-5 score at half time, SK Senkvice won the game 4-9.

Pool A
1 – AD Lousada – 15 points (+9)
2 – HC Roma – 8 points (+1)
3 – Cardiff & Met – 5 points (-2)
4 – Soroksari – 2 points (-8)

Pool B
1 – HC Rotterdam – 15 points (+12)
2 – SK Senkvice – 10 points (+2)
3 – Railway Union HC – 5 points (-10)
4 – HC Lipovci – 3 points (-4)

In the afternoon the first round in the classification stage was played and early this evening.

In Pool D, Soroksari HC started the afternoon with a match against HC Lipovski. Both teams were still looking for their first victory of the tournament. HC Lipovski won the match convincingly 7-2. The other teams in pool D, Cardiff&Met and Railway Union HC, ended a close game on a 4-4 draw.

In Pool C, HC Roma played SK Senkvice. The game was always close with both teams scoring twice in the final minutes, ending the game with a 4-4 draw. The day ended with a crazy amount of goals. HC Rotterdam and AD Lousada kept on scoring. At half time the game was tied at 5-5, but in the end it was HC Rotterdam who finished on top 9-8.

4 – SK Senkvice – 2 points (-5)

1 – Cardiff & Met – 7 points (+5)

4 – Soroksari HC – 0 points (-10)
