Hosts win and earn promotion at the EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions Challenge I

All the matches have been played at the EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions Challenge I, the winners are known and so are the ones that unfortunately have to go down to Challenge II.

Day 3 of the Eurohockey Indoor Club Champions Challenge I in Rotterdam started with the match between Soroksari HC and Railway Union HC. It was a close game right from the start till the very end. 1 up to Soroksari, 1 up to Railway Union, neither side was able to extend the lead. With two goals in the final minute, Railway Union HC turned over a 1-goal deficit into a 1-goal win, 7-6.
The second match was between Cardiff & Met and HC Lipovci, another close and very intense game. HC Lipovci had to win to stay in the Champions Challenge I, but wasn’t able to. Final score: 5-5

The third match featured the home side HC Rotterdam and the Italian side HC Roma. HC Rotterdam, already qualified for the Eurohockey Indoor Club Trophy, scored the first goal, but were down 1-3 at half time. In the second half, HC Rotterdam changed gears and won the match 6-4.

Final game of the tournament had AD Lousada play against SK Senkvice. AD Lousada won the game convincingly (8-4) and they are the second team to qualify for the Eurohockey Indoor Club Trophy.

2 – AD Lousada – Promoted to Eurohockey Indoor Club Trophy 2016
3 – HC Roma
4 – SK Senkvice
5 – Railway Union HC
6 – Cardiff & Met
7 – HC Lipovci – Relegated to Eurohockey Indoor Champions Challenge II 2016
8 – Soroksari HC – Relegated to Eurohockey Indoor Champions Challenge II 2016
