Dansk Double Gold on International Women’s Day

09.03.2014: As the world of sport celebrated International Women’s day with the focus on world wide sport looking for equality in gender, it was a very appropriate and poignant day for Slagelse HK  as they celebrated double gold for their women and men in the Dansk Indoor Championships. 

The women’s team were first up beating Gentofte hockeyklub by a comprehensive 27-0 in the semifinal and then they had a 11-3 win against Odin HK in the Final. This took their tally to Indoor Danish champions for the 10th time in a row. Matilde Lundberg was the Top Scorer with a very impressive 40 goals.

The Mens team beat Copenhagen hockeyklubn 8-5 against  in the semifinal and then went on to a 9-5 victory against Sørbymagle IF in the final.
Slagelse’s keeper Martin Mortensen  won the player of the year 2014.
