CFU Lamas to host the EuroHockey Club Challenge IV

Posted On 15th May 2015

Brussels, 15/05/2015: Today we focus on CFU Lamas who are hosting the EuroHockey Club Challenge IV next weekend.

CFU Lamas, no strangers to EuroHockey club events, who last played in the EuroHockey Club Challenge II in 2012, will be hoping to earn promotion from this division.

We spoke to their Coach, José CATARINO about hosting the EuroHockey event and what advantage that would have to his team “The only advantage we have is the fact that we are in our environment, to play in our field with our fans watching, but not a significant advantage to consider for the final performance. Anyway it is always a pleasure to host such a tournament, but on the other hand, adds up to more responsibility.”

Reflecting on his players and his ‘one to watch he is of the opinion that all his team has value, from their excellent keeper to their fast forwards who are always in search of goals! Without any foreign imports they are relying on their own native players for a good performance. Without wanting to put pressure on any player, he expects one of his young players to be the surprise of the tournament!

The Tournament starts on 21st May, the lineup as follows, the hosts won’t be in action until Friday!

 Thursday 21st May 2015

16:45  B  Aker HC   v   Highway Hockey HC
