Netherlands, Germany, Spain make the quarter finals at the Men’s World League Round 3, Buenos Aires

09.06.2015, Brussels: With the Final Pool Games today, the 1/4 Final line-up is nearly complete, the final pool games today will determine the line up

Netherlands  are currently top of their pool, but following their draw with New Zealand, Jereon Hertzberger, said:

“At least this was a draw. To be honest, we wouldn’t have deserved a win at all. We didn’t play well, New Zealand’s goal was a matter of time. We need to find a way to improve because this is not the way we will qualify here. It is a bit disappointing but nothing is lost. It’s better to have this game now than in the quarter-finals.”

With no other European teams in Pool A, Netherlands look to take their place in the 1/4 Final, irrelavant of their result today, but will be looking to be placed well to take on a lower finisher in Pool B.

In Pool B, it was awash with European teams, Germany, Spain and Austria, but it was the hosts Argentina who top the pool ahead of current Olympic and European Champions, Germany. Spain, just ahead of Austria with an all important 4-1 win over their fellow Europeans, so Austria are out and Spain face the hosts in a tough game which will see who they face in the quarter finals.
