National U16 Hockey5s Finals In Poland

The first weekend of June saw the Polish U16 National Hockey5s Finals for Boys and Girls in Siemianowice Slaskie.

After having played 2 elimination rounds in their respective regions, 8 boys teams and 8 girls teams met in Siemianowice to fight for the top spot. The new format attracted many spectators and fostered a lot of discussion regarding the best strategy and tactical decision, and the key role of physical preparation. The hosts provided special netting behind the goals to maintain safety precautions during the tournament. The winners were AZS Politechnika Poznanska (Girls) and LKS Rogowo (Boys).

Polish Hockey was very pleased with the local organisation by Silesian Hockey and all the volunteers.
