Basic coaching course takes place in Zagreb – individual learning skills

Posted On 24th June 2015

EHF Education Committee Member Norbert Nederlof conducted a basic skills and tactics coaching course in Zagreb, June 18-21.

During these 3 days, 18 coaches from 8 clubs came together to learn and share their experiences. The course targeted technical individual learning skills, and the participating coaches had a chance to watch and work with some young hockey players (U10 – U14) on skills such as dribbling, passing, sweeping, and hitting. Norbert taught the coaches how to best impart information and coach the youngsters, and how to organise a training camp and increase tempo.

The coaches also had the opportunity to observe the training for the U16 Boys National team and the U18 Girls national team and receive feedback on the training, focusing on skills and how to correct technique.

The European Hockey Federation and the Croatian Hockey Federation would like to thank Norbert for his work and efforts in this course.
