Sveti Ivan Zelina – EuroHockey Championship III, Women gets underway

21.07.2015, Brussels; Yesterday EuroHockey Championship III for Women began in Sveti Ivan Zelina. The heat wave still continues in Croatia and so are difficult conditions for players. Additional water breaks were added in halftimes to help players to cool down a little.

The first match was between Turkey and Switzerland. Turkey came to this tournament with a goal of winning it and with today’s victory are one step closer to that. But it wasn’t easy.Both teams were even and Swiss team are a little disappointed because they didn’t capitalize on their chances.

The second match between Lithuania and Croatia had a more clear winner. Even though Croatia took early lead Lithuania equalized two minutes later. After 20 minutes Croatia ran out the steam and by the end of the match they scored four more goals.
