EHF Umpiring Seminars – “Supporting National Growth”

15.09.2015: Brussels; Following the success of our previous Seminars, the EHF Education Committee’s Umpiring Working Group is organising four new Seminars: 25th – 27th September 2015, Glasgow / Scotland, 16th – 18th October 2015, Varna / Bulgaria, 13th – 15th November 2015, Prague / Czech Republic, 13th – 15th November 2015, Sveti Ivan Zelina / Croatia.

The seminars, organized within the EHF program “Support the National Growth”, have the aim to provide a training to the participants as Umpires and Umpires Coaches/Mentors in partnership with National Associations in order to develop the umpires in their country.

For the Glasgow Seminar it is the intention of the EHF Education Committee’s Umpires Workgroup in conjunction with the EHF Development Project Committee to run an umpires’ and umpires coaches seminar to develop umpires and umpires’ coaches from 5 countries (England, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Wales). This seminar will be run alongside an U16/U18 Boys Tournament.

For the Varna Seminar it is the intention of the EHF Education Committee’s Umpires Workgroup in conjunction with the EHF Development Project Committee to run an umpires’ and umpires coaches seminar to develop umpires and umpires’ coaches from 6 countries (Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Macedonia [FYROM], Romania). This seminar will be run alongside men and women National Outdoor Championships.

For the Prague Seminar it is the intention of the EHF Education Committee’s Umpires Workgroup in conjunction with the EHF Development Project Committee to run an umpires’ and umpires coaches seminar to develop umpires and umpires’ coaches from 4 countries (Belarus, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia). This seminar will be run alongside a men and women indoor tournament.

For the Sveti Ivan Zelina Seminar it is the intention of the EHF Education Committee’s Umpires Workgroup in conjunction with the EHF Development Project Committee to run an umpires’ and umpires coaches seminar to develop umpires and umpires’ coaches from 10 countries (Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia). This seminar will be run alongside a men and women indoor tournament.

1) Glasgow

Dates: Friday, 25th September 2015, 7.30pm – Sunday, 27th September 2015, 5pm

Venue: Glasgow National Hockey Centre, 8 Kings Drive, Glasgow, G40 1HB

Deadline to send participation documents: 1st September 2015 (this Seminar is now closed)

2) Varna

Dates:    Friday, 16th October 2015, ~3pm – Sunday, 18th October 2015, 3pm

Venue: Sport Center Albena

Conductor: Craig Madden, FIH umpires manager

Deadline to send participation documents: 21st September 2015

3) Prague

Dates: Friday, 13th November 2015, ~9.00am – Sunday, 15th November 2015, ~4pm

Venue: Arena Sparta, Podvinny mlyn, Prague 9, Czech Republic

Conductor: Juanma Requena, FIH umpires manager

Deadline to send participation documents: 24th September 2015

4) Sveti Ivan Zelina

Dates: Friday, 13th November 2015, ~7.30pm – Sunday, 15th November 2015, 6pm

Venue: Sport Hall “Zelina”, Trg Kardinala Stepinca, 10380 Sveti Ivan Zelina

Conductor: Rob ten Cate, FIH umpires manager

Deadline to send participation documents: 10th October 2015
