Twice a month, the CNN Series – Human to Hero gets to the heart of what it takes to be a sporting star, exploring the discipline, dedication and determination involved, as well as the sources of inspiration for the world’s best athletes.
This week Dutch Hockey Star Ellen Hoog is under the spotlight, as she says herself, people expect the Dutch team to win gold medals, but what people don’t see is the huge amount of training that goes on behind the scenes to get there.
She adds ‘What I really like about hockey is that it is team sport. I’m a real team player and I love playing with a team.
