This Friday, our Friday Focus feature is once again on clubs: Our Club of the Year Award for 2015 is now open for submissions, take this opportunity to learn more about it and encourage your National Association to nominate your club. Also, a pitch is given a new life by travelling to Slovenia.
Get & Give – Donating a pitch
Cooperation is a big word that can have an even bigger impact. A pitch’s second life, going from Germany to Slovenia, will help a developing club continue to grow.
Darmstadt HC in Germany has donated its pitch to the Slovenian club HC Lipovci. The pitch was lifted and the rolls were transported to Slovenia.
The new pitch will be laid after the winter, and a match between HC Lipovci and Darmstadt HC has been organised to officially inaugurate the pitch. The Slovenian Hockey Federation would like to thank Darmstadt HC for their efforts and donation.
Is your club getting a new pitch and is looking to donate its old one? Does your club need a new pitch? For more information on this contact our Education and Development Manager, Norman Hughes (norman@eurohockey.org)
