Friday Focus – Sharing Knowledge: NAs to twin with Dutch Clubs are announced!

Posted On 8th January 2016

The EHF Development Committee alongside the KNHB are proud to announce that the nations selected for the Twinning programme, a pivotal part of the Sharing Knowledge initiative that EHF and KNHB have partnered up to do in preparation for the EuroHockey Championships in 2017.This initiative was launched at the 27th EHF General Assembly in London in August 2015.

The Twinning program will pair one National Association with a Dutch Hockey club, to secure a long term investment in the growth of hockey. The Twinning NA and Club will then create a structural link, and focus on the following subjects: Umpire, Coaches and Officials training; Club development and administration; event management; facilities and equipment; and team exchanges.

The National Associations that have been selected to take part in this programme are:

Austria
Belarus
Bulgaria
Croatia
Czech Rep
Lithuania
Poland
Portugal
Switzerland

The EHF would like to congratulate the selected nations and it is our hope that this will create a lasting legacy that benefits hockey  long after 2017.
