Friday Focus – First ParaHockey Forum

Posted On 21st January 2016

The European Hockey Federation held its first ParaHockey Forum in its office on Sunday, January 17th.

The Forum brought together 20 ParaHockey leaders from 6 European countries to discuss the future of ParaHockey and share resources. During the forum, a discussion of possible rules took place as well as presentation by each NA to explain how ParaHockey got started, what strategies worked and what plans were in store for the future.

The 2017 ParaHockey Championships in Amsterdam were also discussed, as it is hoped this event will continue to grow as it has done since its start in 2011.

The forum was also attended by 2 Special Olympics – Netherlands representatives, Chairman Ruud Verbunt and Sports Director Natascha Bruers. The European Hockey Federation wishes to thank them for their time and effort, as well as all the participants.
