Day 2 – EuroHockey Indoor Championships II Cambrai

At Day 2 at the EuroHockey Indoor Championships in Cambrai the first 2 games started Pool C and D. Loosing against Croatia, Scotland won’t go up but Switzerland, in the next match, have won one important point in drawing Lithuania (2-2) to access in same pool.

In Pool D, in the beginning of midday, Scotland and Wales played eachother. Scotland have won  6 to 3. After that Croatia have lost against England (3-2). This success is important for England because it’s key to stay in Championship II.

In Pool C, between Russia and France, the two qualified teams, Russia was better due to tactical and technical quality. France  lost against Switzerland (5-1). The last match of second day between Russia and Lithuania was a great competitive game. Russia have scored twice in one minute only and have won in the end. Russia will go up to the Championships. The last place for this group will play between Lithuania and Switzerland tomorrow.
