The Top Coaches Programme (TCP) targets young, talented coaches from the highest ranked nations. The programme guides the coaches through a 2 year course that includes seminars, training camps and webinars, and includes theory and practical sessions on tactical areas, game analysis, sports science, and many other important topics.
The aim of the course is to prepare the young coaches to add value to the performance coaching teams in their nations. One of our TCP Coaches, Sven van der Most, exemplifies a path to success, as he recently joined the Belgian Women’s Team to the EuroHockey Indoor Championships in Minsk, Belarus, as an assistant coach.
Sven van der MossSven tells us: “I am very grateful for the chance to take part in TCP. It is very stimulating and has opened the doors for me to new opportunities, like being in Minsk! The tournament was interesting and fast paced, and I feel the programme really prepared me for the way a tournament like this would be. I was confident in all my tasks and felt prepared for the challenge. I am really proud to be part of the program.”
