Both teams had chances to break the deadlock, but it was Partille who opened the scoring as Tobias Grand (joint event Top Scorer) beat EG keeper who had committed and was on the ground as he reverse flicked over and roofed the net in the 15th minute. The score remained 1-0 in favour of Partille into half time. In a very tight second half, where players matched eachother in speed, strength and workrate.

Once again Tobias Grand beat the keeper on the run, this time a flick on his forehand, bringing the score to 2-0 in the 31st minute. With 5 to go EG captain Simon FAULKNER  put EG on the scoresheet from a direct strike at a corner. Player of the Tournament  Joakim BJÖRKMAN almost had a solo effort as he intercepted and ran the pitch! East Grinstead pushed ahead using 6 field players, which in the end didn’t play dividends and Grand took advantage of the open net to bag 2 more.

The Final

Harvestehuder THC 2 – 1 (0 – 1) SV Arminen
HTHC earned a penalty corner in the 2nd minute Korper and Persoon on strike, the dummy to Persoon, but the stike was saved and the rebound went wide. HTHC were content to build patiently from the back, but any errors on both sides were severely punished ensuring that players were cautious in pressing forward. Heuer for HTHC had a clear chance in the 11th minute but his strike was over the bar. In the 13th minute, again HTHC had another chance via a corner, but again the shot from Persoon was high.
Arminen opened the scoring in the 16th minute as Schmidt sneaked pass the defence of HTHC. Just after the halftime break HTHC equalised with Heurer and an excellent use of the board to rebound back onto his own stick and a beautiful strike. In the 34th minute HTHC earned a stroke and Michael Korper (the joint  top scorer), stepped up and slotted the stroke home.
A penalty corner in the 38th minute for Arminen which ended with 2 players from HTHC being sent to the 1/2 way line for breaking the line but in the end the push out failed and HTHC defended the corner.
