#FridayFocus – TEC Darmstadt donates water based pitch to HK Lipovci!

Posted On 2nd September 2016

Slovenia has inaugurated its very first water-based pitch after a donation from TEC Darmstadt. The official opening of the pitch took place last Saturday, August 27th, with a Veternans and U10 tournament during the day. At 18:00, the Slovenian national team  met the Hungary side for the inaugural match. The Mayor of Beltinci, Milan Kerman, was present, as well as the President of HK Lipovci, Fran Maučec.

This new pitch will serve as a national base for Slovenia as well as for the HK Lipovci club. The EuroHockey Championship IV (Men) will be hosted on this pitch next year, 31 July – 5 August. Slovenia will play host to Cyprus, Gibraltar, Hungary and Malta.

EHF wishes to thank TEC Darmstadt  for this very kind donation and commend the families and players who worked hard to install this pitch!

Does your club need a new pitch? Or are you laying a new pitch and would like to donate the old carpet? Please get in touch with us and we can help!
