5th September 2016: As part of our #MotivationMonday series, we are delighted to congratulate the Czech women’s team on progressing to FIH Hockey World League 2 with style!
The Czech team poled first in the Hockey World League 1 event in Prague from 31st August – 4th September. They started the event with a comprehensive win over Turkey 6-1. Next up was Lithuania who they beat 5-1. A loss of 2-3 against Poland was a set back to the Czech girls but they bounced back with a 5-1 win over Ukraine in this round robin event. Their better goal difference meant that with the same points as Poland (9) they finished first and gained a place in the World League 2 to be played in 2017.
