We are very happy to host and happy that HC Dinamo Elektrostal was awarded that right. It is also great that Polytan, who signed a contract with the city of Elektrostal will reconstruct the hockey stadium. This is a great event not only for the city but for the whole of Russian hockey! In Elecktrostal the installation of a new modern surface Polytan Mega Cool platinum is the same pitch as at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. It is the first big hockey project of Polytan in Russia! We are always happy to accept any level of tournament, but having these great clubs in Russia will be wonderful!. Thanks to Polytan and with the EHF’s permission, the event will be the Polytan EuroHockey Club Trophy.”

As a club we have been working hard over the past few years to upgrade our facilities for the players and the fans, with a state of the art stadium and now we are in the process of upgrading the clubhouse as well, so to be able to welcome the top European women’s teams and their fans will be just great! Our women’s team are keen to put Den Bosch back on the Cup, so hosting does give our girls the added chance of performing in front of our home crowd. The EHF Director General, Angus Kirkland said “Facilitating players in Europe to participate in well organised EuroHockey events is a core goal of the EHF, so we are delighted that our clubs are always so willing to host. Many thanks to those clubs who offered and were not selected, no doubt we will be in their clubs another year! And congratulations to the 2017 hosts. It is especially pleasing for us to have four of the events being played on our partner’s Polytan pitches, in Munich, Elektrostal, Vinnitsa and Lipovci. We are looking forward to working with all our hosts over the coming months to deliver top level EuroHockey events!”
