1st December 2016: The Euro Hockey League (EHL) and European Hockey Federation (EHF) are pleased to announce that tickets for the KO16/KO8 go on sale today via the following link – http://ehlhockey.nl/tickets/.
It coincides with confirmation of the match schedule for the spectacular event which runs from April 14-17, 2017 at HC Oranje-Rood in Eindhoven when 16 of the continent’s best clubs continue their battle to win the Alain Danet Trophy.
The tickets go on sale just in time for Christmas with a special early bird offer running until December 31st. It means adults can purchase tickets from just €13,50 per day or €45 for a weekend package (passe-partout) which covers access to all 12 matches over the weekend.
Youth tickets, for ages five to 16, are currently available for just €8 per day and €28 for a weekend package. Tickets purchased after December 31 will be €15 for adults and €10 for youths.
Friday, April 14 promises to open the weekend with a bang with four well-matched ties. Ireland’s Banbridge and Racing Club de France start the festival with both clubs aiming to reach the KO8 for the first time.
Ever-present Polish champions WKS Grunwald Poznan face a Real Club de Polo side who feature three Olympic gold medalists in game two before KHC Dragons meet Racing Club de Bruxelles in a repeat of last season’s Belgian grand final.
Reigning champions SV Kampong close out day one with a re-match of last year’s KO8 tie against Germany’s top dogs KHTC Rot-Weiss Koln.
Saturday, April 15 brings four more top class games. Irish champions Lisnagarvey meet Atletic Terrassa – last year’s fourth place finisher – in the opening tie before England number one side Wimbledon look to take down UHC Hamburg.
Hosts Oranje-Rood are third on the pitch in a delicious match-up against fellow Dutch side AH&BC Amsterdam before Mannheimer and Club Egara meet in another intriguing match-up to conclude the KO8 line-up.
Sunday, April 16 and Easter Monday, April 17 see the quarter-finalists battle it out for a ticket to the FINAL4.
It promises to be another memorable weekend in the history of the world’s best club hockey competition.
