10th February 2017: Budapest – What a start!

On the first day on the first match in the first 10 seconds a goal launched the EuroHockey Club Challenge Men I. In the first match the Luc Ronchin HC from France scored a goal against NSA Sofia in the 7th second. They continued scoring until the result became 16-1. The French team has arrived with a huge fan club, the hall is almost full. In their second match they had a harder opponent, they played a tough game against  SK Senkvice (SVK), but still could win 4-3.

SK Senkvice played better against HK Triglav Predanovci (SLO), they won 5-1. In the afternoon the Slovenian team was more successful, they won against the Bulgarian team (8-1).

The Italian team HC Bra started very well, beating the host Soroksári HC. (7-1) In their second match they played an eventful match against HC OKS-SHVSM Vinnitsa (UKR). At half time it was 2-3 to the Ukrainian team, but the final result is 4-4. The Ukrainian team played it’s first match against Wales and won 3-1.

The last match was played by the host Hungarian team v Cardiff and Met. They played a tough (1-1) until Soroksári HC scored their second goal in the 36th minute, taking the winning points.


Top scorers of the day: Viktor Lockwood (Luc Ronchin HC) and Chiesa Nicholas (HC Bra) They both scored 8 goals today!
