#FridayFocus – Let’s Give Youth a Voice

Posted On 24th February 2017

The Youth Leadership Festival will take place in Amsterdam 15th – 19th August 2017, in connection with the Rabo EuroHockey Championships.

The Festival is an ‘Official Side Event’ to the much expected Championships, and it is a wonderful opportunity to reward a young leader who is active in helping hockey grow in your nation. The selected youth leaders will receive training in a variety of areas including Event Management, Communications, Umpiring, Coaching, ParaHockey, Sport Development and more!

Over 20 nations have already applied, and the young leaders both offer a presentation on a topic of their choice and focus on their selected leadership area, such as coaching, umpiring, ParaHockey and Communications. The presenter of the best project will win the title European Youth Hockey Leader 2017.

The festival will also provide an opportunity for the young leaders to network with mentors, presenters, and one another.

The Youth Hockey Leadership Festival will take place from Tuesday August 15 to Saturday August 19 at the AthenA hockey club in Amsterdam. Participants will also be able to brush up on their skills during the ParaHockey Championships at both Pinoké and in the Wagener Stadium.
