#FridayFocus – a new approach to Supporting National Growth

Posted On 17th March 2017

During the past few months, the EHF Education Committee has re-evaluated the SNG programme for umpires. As a result, we are launching two new initiatives:

National Umpire Development Support

Upon request, the EHF will offer support to a National Association to help develop a tailor made program for umpiring development. More details about this will be shared in the coming weeks!

EHF Umpire Coach Level 1

EHF will help your National Association to get qualified Umpire Coaches by offering a three day practical course.

The first EHF Umpire Coach Level 1 course will be at the Push Hockey Tournament in Breda, The Netherlands from 25th – 27th August 2017. Former WP umpire and UM Craig Madden will be leading the course assisted by two mentors. The course will include classroom sessions and practical one-to-one coaching of umpires.  All participants that complete the course successfully will receive the certificate “EHF – Umpire’s Coach Level 1”.

All national associations have received this information and have been invited to apply! In this first edition, we are giving priority to developing nations, but make sure to send in your application, which will help us gauge interest and need across Europe and adapt our planning accordingly.

Deadline for Application is APRIL 14!  If you have any question about this or any of our Educational programmes, please email us!
