Competitions Committee Outdoor meets in Brussels

The EHF Competitions Committee Outdoor held their 2017 spring meeting in the EHF Office in Brussels, on Saturday 4th of March.

The Committee dealt with a huge agenda, starting with matters arising from their previous meeting.

The Chair updated the committee on some FIH matters, such as the Home & Away league.

Update on EuroHockey Senior, Junior, U16 and club events in 2017:

The Competitions Manager gave a full overview from all EuroHockey Senior, Junior, U16 and club events which will be played this year. Also a short update was received about the Junior EHCC which will be played 4th of June in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (NED).

Applications to host EuroHockey U18 events in 2018:

The Committee has prepared a proposed list of hosts to be considered by the EHF Executive Board when it meets on 31 March-1 April. Hosts will be announced following this Board meeting.

EHL 2016/17:

The Committee was updated on the running of the EHL and the ABN AMRO Junior EHL.


A full discussion took place on updates that are required to the EuroHockey Regulations. The Competitions Manager will implement the proposed changes after the outdoor season once approved by the EHF Executive Board.

Next meeting:

The next meeting is planned for early Mid-September 2017 in Zagreb, Croatia.
