#FridayFocus – Coaches 4 Europe meet in Lisbon

The EHF educational programme ‘Coaches 4 Europe (C4E)’ met for the first time this year this past weekend, 30th March – 2nd April in Lisbon, Portugal.

13 European coaches from 9 nations came together for the seminar, led by EHF Education Committee Member Norbert Nederlof and mentors Tomislav Jamicic, Grahame Mansell-Grace, and Bernardo Fernandes. EHF Education and Development Manager Norman Hughes was also present and participated in the seminar.

The group covered several topics during the seminar, including:

·         Pressing styles

·         Building Up play

·         Attacking patterns

Classroom session also included a presentation by each coach, and by the mentors. The participants also had to lead a session on the pitch.

European Hockey would like to thank the mentors for giving up their time and the Portuguese Hockey Federation for hosting the event. Special thank to our local liaison officer Hugh Santos.
