6th July 2017: Lithuania & Belarus played an opening game in beautiful weather with absolutely no clouds. The final score, 1-3 to Belarus. Game 2 – Turkey vs. Croatia with Turkey taking the 3 points 5:3
The 3rd game today was unfortunately very one-sided as Georgia were beaten 18-0 by a very dominant Austria. The 4th game again proved one-sided as Ukraine beat Finland 15-1.
Closing game of todays morning session was played between Denmark & Wales, a delighted Dansk team beat Wales 9-4.
The players and officials had some rest time before the evening session, where we started with a very good French performance to overcome Belarus 4-2. Bulgaria and Georgia had a great evenly matched game in the qualifiers to draw 3-3, Bulgaria won the shoot-out.
The second quarter final was between Switzerland and Denmark, a really tight game that the Swiss boys just won 6-5.
Wales, disappointed not to be in the quarter final beat Finland 10-2 in their classification match.
The third quarter final was between the home team Poland and Turkey, the Polish boys, buoyed by a partisan crowd lead from the start and finished 8-0 ahead of Turkey.
The final quarter final was more even with Austria prevailing over Ukraine 5-2.
