Day 2 – EuroHockey Junior Championships, Hradec Kralove

18th July 2017: Yesterday was the second day of the EuroHockey Junior Championship II, Women in Hradec Kralove. 

Austria X Ukraine 1:0
G: 8 Konrat Ruth

In the first match in Day 2 Ukraine faced  Austria. Both teams needed the 3 points to ensure a semi-final place. In the first quarter Austria had more goal chances and the game was played mainly at Ukraine´s half. At the beginning of the second quarter both teams had equal possession but the match remained goalless. Defensive play turned into the offensive. However neither team converted and the game remained scoreless.

In the beginning of the second half of the match the team Austria managed to score a goal after a beautiful action from Konrat, and that one goal was the difference between the teams.

Poland X Belarus 0:2
G: 13 Yubko Yuliva 2x

In the second match of Day 2 Poland played Belarus.  In the early part of the game, both teams had equal possession. However in the second quarter Belarus was in charge.  Even then  ended the first half 0:0. And that’s why all the players were relying on the next part of the match.

The other part didn’t bring any change. So after ¾ was score 0:0, though had Belarus option to strike the penalty. Next 15 min. was very stressful, because both of the teams were trying to win. After the mistake of one of the Poland player was whistle the horn, which the Belarus team took an advance and scored to 1:0. But it wasn’t enough for the Belarus team and they wanted to show that the win belongs to them and so in next horn Belarus player with number 13 scored. Belarus win 2:0.
