15th February 2018: Having experienced the most incredible Indoor World Cup in Berlin last weekend, it’s time for our clubs to shine.
With 4 divisions, 31 countries represented , it is suffice to say that Indoor hockey is alive and well in Europe.
Our top division will be played in Wettingen, Zurich, the home of Rotweiss Wettingen. Pool A is made up of Dinamo Elektrostal, the hosts HC Rotweiss Wettingen, the favourites Rot Weiss Koln and a much depleted Surbiton as many of their players are on Commonwealth Games duty.
In Pool B SV Armenin, who had 8 of the World Cup winning squad are resting many of the stars, so their team is a mixture of youth and experience. They have been in the last 3 finals so they are not to be underestimated. They are joined by AHBC, with Teun Rohof and Robert Tigges in their squad, they will be a force to be reckoned with. Also in Pool B are Racing Club de Bruxelles, just up from the Trophy division, but with indoor hockey in the ascension in Belgium, they could be the dark horse here in Wettingen. Complutense completes the line up, 6th in 2017, they will be looking to consolidate their position in this division and push for a semi-final place.
